Indoor Sub-Committee Meeting


A meeting of the Indoor Sub-Committee will be held Sunday, the 2nd of September, at 12.00pm in the Tullamore Court Hotel.

All Clubs looking to take part in this years Indoor National competitions should send 1 representative to attend.  Fixtures and other competition related issues will be discussed and decided.

Details for this weekend pull is as follows
Competition Weights: Men’s 580kg National Championship & Open 6 aside 435kg
Ladies Competition also on the day.

Saturday night weigh in will be at 7pm to 8pm at Eire Og Gaa club Carlow (Same venue used for 640kg on 8th july)

Sunday morning weigh in will be be on site at Tullow Show Grounds.  Weigh in from 10.30am – 12pm, first pull to start at 12.30pm

National League for 600kg & 680kg held on Sunday 29th July

All Ireland League 2018

Sunday past saw the third and final round of the All Ireland league.

It was held at the old Connolly Army Barracks, in Longford.

The final results after the three days is as follows with Castlegregory winning gold in both category with G&B also getting Silver in both category also.

Over All Winners after day 3

Castlegregory – Gold on 39 points.
G&B – Silver on 33 points.
Ballinastoe – Bronze on 22 points.

Castlegregory – Gold on 43 points.
G&B – Silver on 30 points.
GnaC – Bronze on 16 points.


Results on to-days third round:-
G&B – 15 points.
Castlegregory – 10 points.
Ballinastoe – 10 points.
Leo Boys – 3.
Mix Team – 6.
GnaC – 0.

Day 2 of outdoor National Championship

The Mighty Oaks hosted yesterdays event in Pilltown and the day didn’t disappoint with the sun shining through out , great competition and refreshments on hand.

The results from the day goes as follows

680kg Senior: G&B Gold – Boley Silver – Castlegregory Bronze. (7 teams competed)

680kg Novice: Mighty Oaks Gold – Mulcair Silver – Ladies Bronze. (3 teams competed)

510kg 6 a side: G&B Gold – Castlegregory Silver – Donoughmore Bronze. (7 teams competed)

Everyone can now take a well earned rest for the next couple of week and we hope to see you all on day 3 of the competition on 8th July in Carlow where the men will be competing for the 640Kg title.
