Victory for Boley in National Catchweight Championship

On June 30th, the teams headed south to Kerry for the National Catchweight Championship. Some great pulling took place in Ballybunnion Co Kerry where five teams fought it out for the title of the Catchweight Senior now there was very little between any of the teams. The teams competing were: Boley, Donoughmore, Lakehill, Castlegregory and Mulcair.

And the round robin ended with Boley on 10 points, Donoughmore on 8, Lakehill on 6, Castlegregory on 4, and Mulcair on 0.
in the semi-finals it was Boley v Castlegregory where Boley took this in two straight ends, and in the second semi-final it was between Donoughmore v Lakehill where Donoughmore took this by two ends to one.

The fight for the bronze was between Lakehill and Castlegregory. In the end it was the local team, Castlegregory, that dug deep to secure the bronze medal.

And in the final it was between Boley v Donoughmore and after a tough battle it was Boley who took the two ends to take the title and the Gold Medal.
