The affiliation forms for 2018 are now available at the Affiliate Your Club page.
Full member clubs will need to register before the 31st of January in order to have a vote at the upcoming AGM which will be held on March 25th. This includes all indoor clubs, who will need to re-affiliate before February, to have a vote. There is no change to the affiliation process from last year. A proposal surrounding individual affiliation will be put forward at this years AGM, but for now, standard club affiliation still applies.
At a recent meeting of the Executive, Gerry Ferguson has been appointed to the newly created position of the Clubs Liaison Officer to the Executive. As some of you may be aware, it is now mandatory for all National Sporting Bodies to become compliant with the Governance Code by the end of 2019. This will be a 2 year process that will involve policy’s and changes to be made and adopted, covering a wide range of areas. This is designed to improve the operation and transparency of all sporting bodies.
As part of these changes, a Liaison Officer should be appointed to communicate between the Executive and the Clubs, on an ongoing basis. Gerry has agreed to take on this role. A proposal to make this an elected position, in line with the Secretary and Treasurer, will be put forward at this years AGM.
The 1st point of contact for all clubs who have any questions or issues will continue to be their Provincial Delegates. These delegates are elected by all the clubs for this specific job. After that, Gerry will be the main point of contact for club matters and will work with the Provincial Delegates as well as chair subcommittee meetings. Contact information for all Delegates can be found on the Contacts page.
