St Pats overcame Cuan Rithe in straight ends in the first semi final to qualify for the final. The second semi final between Clonmany & Mountain View was a very entertaining match-up with Mountain View taking the first end. The Clonmany lads showed great determination to come back and book a place in the final after a third and deciding end. The final between Clonmany and St Pats was a reasonably comfortable contest for St Pats who once again showed their superiority over their rivals this season with a straight end victory.

Mountain View defeated Cuan Rithe to win the bronze medal. The teams who qualified for the Div 2 final were Gort na Cloiche and Stapeltons. Stapeltons were on a high after their victory in the 720kg two weeks ago but it was the GnaC team who produced a great performance to overcome Stapeltons with a straight end victory and win the gold medal. The five teams who qualified for the men’s 5-a-side semi finals were Clonmany, Cuan Rithe, Mountain View & St Pats. Cuan Rithe and St. Pats enjoyed straight end victories over Mountain View and Clonmany respectively to qualify for the final. St Pats won the gold medal with Cuan Rithe runners-up while Clonmany won the bronze medal.

Once again, the St Pats ladies who are preparing for next summers World Games were very strong taking the maximum 7 points in both the 540kg and the 340kg leagues. St Pats combined with their men’s team also took maximum points in round 2 of the mixed 600kg league. Clonmany were very strong again in the second round of the youth league taking the 7 points with GnaC getting 6 points for finishing runners-up.
