The lack of strength in depth of the Irish squad in Assen was clearly evident over the last two days as we failed to win a medal for the first time since 2008 and only managed one top four finish. Positives to take away from the championships was the experienced gained by members of the 560kg and 600kg mixed teams in picking up their first international caps. The Irish squad also depart from Assen with two bronze medals from the open club championships. Safe journey to all as they return home.
